A welcoming arrival.
A quieter stay.
A hotel interior shaped by warm timber, pale stone and softly filtered light, connecting a generous arrival lounge with intimate spaces for rest.
Vision & brief
Toran Dwar Hotel in Khatu centres its hospitality design on a generous welcome followed by quieter rooms. The 2027 project places emphasis on the moments that shape a stay: approaching reception, pausing in the lounge, finding a guestroom and settling into a more private setting.
Design response
The spatial challenge is one of scale and transition. A double-height arrival space needs a clear point of orientation without feeling impersonal. The timber screen identifies reception, while seating groups and consoles give the larger volume places of human scale. Corridors and lift lobbies continue the design language, so the guest experience does not end at the main lobby.
Material & detail
Pale stone surfaces, warm timber tones, brushed-metal accents and tactile upholstery create a restrained framework for decorative lighting. Integrated desks, joinery and individual reading lights bring the same attention to the guestrooms. Recurring materials and changing proportions establish continuity between the public and private spaces.
