Brick, shade and spaces for everyday life.
An urban family home shaped by arched brick frames, a finely patterned screen and planted edges, with warm interiors that continue the material story within.
Vision & brief
The Brick House in Jagatpura, Jaipur, brings architecture, interiors and landscape together around an expressive brick envelope. Its residential character is established through the contrast between a layered street face and shared rooms with a more open, daylit atmosphere.
Design response
Tall arched frames, circular openings, balconies and a patterned upper screen give the elevation depth. Planting adds another layer between the rooms and the street. Inside, a double-height living space becomes the shared centre, with dining, kitchen and lobby connections extending the sense of openness. Bedrooms and a study introduce smaller, quieter settings within the same architectural language.
Material & detail
Brick and concrete establish the exterior palette; warm joinery, upholstery and restrained stone surfaces carry the material conversation indoors. Curtains, furniture groups and rugs bring scale to the taller rooms. From the building as a whole to the rooms used each day, a recognisable architectural form supports ordinary domestic life rather than making that life secondary to the façade.
