Khatu Villa brings neoclassical detailing and modern residential form into a composed architectural expression, with a generous portico, sheltered balconies and carefully framed openings.
Vision & brief
Khatu Villa is an ongoing residential design that combines classical proportion with contemporary spaces for family life. Architecture, interiors and landscape form the recorded scope, with the approach, central living room and quieter private rooms treated as parts of one composition.
Design response
Tall columns and a deep portico establish a formal arrival. Horizontal cornices, recessed balconies and fine railings balance that vertical emphasis, while the boundary wall and entrance gate create a gradual transition from street to home. Inside, the double-height living room supplies a shared centre, with dining, drawing and lounge spaces offering different degrees of intimacy around it.
Material & detail
Pale exterior surfaces allow shadow and proportion to do much of the work. Framed wall panels, decorative ceilings and varied palettes give the social rooms and bedrooms individual character. The ongoing 2027 project connects a composed exterior with a sequence of more intimate interiors, without repeating a classical motif in every room.
