A measured presence on the street.
A layered urban residence shaped around shade, privacy and planted thresholds.
Vision & brief
Akshat Nigam Residence in Mansarovar, Jaipur, is an architectural study in the relationship between an urban home and the street. Its identity is built through deep frames, screens and planted thresholds, giving the elevation a measured rhythm rather than an uninterrupted wall of openings.
Design response
The design brings privacy and daylight into the same conversation. Recesses and layered edges establish space between the rooms and their surroundings. This depth allows the façade to change with light and viewpoint, while the repeated frames hold the composition together.
Material & detail
Warm-toned accents and planting temper the more defined architectural lines. From the broader silhouette to the smaller thresholds around openings, the elements work as a coherent whole. Form, shadow and enclosure establish the residence’s character, with each layer contributing to a considered street edge.
