A working architecture for textiles.
An industrial workplace and textile facility where operational requirements inform the architecture.
Vision & brief
Om Traders is a textile facility and industrial workplace in Mansarovar, Jaipur. The project brings architecture and interiors into a functional setting, with the client’s textile identity providing a point of reference for the building’s expression.
Design response
The design has to hold operational planning and architectural identity together. Circulation and the organisation of the working spaces provide the framework; the façade translates textile-pattern inspiration into a larger visual rhythm. This gives the facility a recognisable character without separating its exterior image from its industrial purpose.
Material & detail
The earlier project account describes architecture and interiors progressing in phases as the building developed. The narrative therefore concentrates on the coordinated design approach rather than asserting a current completion status. Its value is a working architecture with an individual identity: disciplined in organisation, but attentive to the way the building represents the business within.
